GlossyBox January 2013 - Man Repeller

  1. Estee Lauder Sumptious Extreme Lash Multiplaying Volume Mascara - It's mascara with fibers, which create false-lash effects.  You can build on layers to create a thicker, voluminous look. Full size: $25.00 / 0.27 oz.
  2. Fresh Umbrian Clay Mattifying Serum - Before you moisturize, you can apply this to your skin to tone and hydrate while controlling shin and minimize the appearance of pores.  Full size: $35.00 / 1 oz.
  3. Le Metier De Beaute - This is basically a moisturizer (emollient formula) that protects, conditions, and hydrates your skin.  Full size: $225.00 / 1.17 oz.
  4. Living Proof Prime Style Extender - Before you style your hair, this creates a light shield around each strand, which allows you to go longer between shampoos and retaining your style. Full size: $20.00 / 5 oz.
  5. Narciso Rodriguez - "A fragrant harmony of music, intimately refined with a floral facet... feminine warm tones of sun-kissed skin, dusted in soft, velvet-like sensuality."  The description is poetic, but it's not for me.  It smells sort of masculine and too musky for me.  Full size: $77.00 / 1.6 oz.
  6. OPI Can't Let Go Liquid Sand Nail Lacquer (Full size) - It's a matte purple with some shimmer.   It's very pretty with some top coat over it.  Full size: $9.00 / 0.5 oz.
  7. Vincent Longo Lipstain SPF 15 Lipstick (Full size) - This lipstain has SPF 15, aloe vera, and Vitamin E built into the formula so it colors while softens your lips.  It's sheer and lightweight, so you can build on the color.  It comes out brighter and lighter than the color of the stick. Full size: $23.00 / 0.12 oz.
Overall thought: I am really happy about GlossyBox.  I spend $21.00 for one box a month, and the lipstick alone covers the base price.  I would have never tried out any of these products on my own, and the subscription provided me the opportunity to try different brands and items.  I wouldn't sample or purchase the hair primer or the perfume, but the other products and higher end brands are really nice to try out.  I'm going to keep subscribing!

The box itself is useful on its own as it's attractive and sturdy.  I store my perfume in it now.

OPI Can't Let Go Liquid Sand Nail Lacquer (Full size) - Review here. It's very pretty.  I don't really like the matte colored nail polishes, but with a Seche Vite top coat, it's so glittery.  I didn't want to redo my nails, so I just painted this on white paper.

Vincent Longo Lipstain SPF 15 Lipstick (Full size) -  Review here. This is absolutely my favorite out of the collection.  It's a moisturizing lip stain, and a little goes a long way.  Though it looks dark on the lipstick, the application color is a bright, berry shade.  You can definitely build up the color, but I prefer a light touch.

Buy yours here!

  6. Wow this box looks quite good! I've really wanted to try a fibre lash mascara (I just don't know where to start looking) so this Estee Lauder one sounds great- I'm just afraid of its price here in Australia. The lipstick is gorgeous, love the shade too! OPI nail polishes are such good quality, I'm not a big fan of matte polishes either :)

    1. Have you tried the Japanese Fiberwig Mascara? I tried it once when I bought one in Japan, but finding a store that sells an affordable version is really hard : /. I really loved the mascara, but right now, I just use the Etude Dr. Mascara fixer and then a drugstore brand mascara.

    1. Thanks for the suggestion :)). I'm so excited about subscription boxes... I'm trying out Birchbox, Sample Society, and Glossybox for now. I'm on the waitlist for Ipsy. I'm going to pick 2-3 companies and then stick with which ever I like best.
